If you are new to Redhill & Reigate Swimming club and also to competitive swimming, then the information below may be useful to you.

Where do we swim?

Redhill & Reigate Swimming Club's main pool is at Donyngs Recreation Centre, Linkfield Lane, Redhill. We also train at pools in Horley Leisure Centre, Caterham School, Dunottar School and Reigate Grammar School. Please visit the Find Us page to see where they are located.

To join the club

A prospective member's swimming ability will be tested at a swimming trial session prior to their joining the club. A swimmer must demonstrate to the Chief Coach a reasonable swimming ability in relation to his/her age and a keenness to progress.

To arrange a trial, please read details for how to register here.

There are usually representatives of the club dryside at the pool in Horley Leasure Centre on Monday evenings and Donyngs pool in Redhill on Tuesday and Friday evenings, so do please feel free to drop in and ask any questions you may have in person.

Training schedule and squad structure

The club operates a squad system and training sessions are held regularly each week to cater for a range of ages and abilities. The squad each swimmer is allocated to is at the chief coach’s discretion and depends on the ability and commitment of the swimmer. The higher squads are offered more training time in the water than the junior squads and this is reflected in the club’s monthly membership fees.

For further information please see the Training and Squad pages of this website.

There are different types of swimming competitions you may be eligible to enter, including:
